The pencil sketch for this drawing was done in August 2007. I shamefully neglected it because of my thesis but now that I found it again I figured I might as well finish it - so here it is in all its glory
Beltaine is a Celtic spring festival celebrating not only spring itself but also love and sexuality. Furthermore, legend has it that Beltaine is one of those points of the year where the borders between our world and the other world of Tír na nÓg or the Fairy Realm are open.
In the drawing, the woman is clearly an immortal, a woman of the sídhe or a fairy - if not even the fairy queen herself. The man is a mortal human and yet, in spite of the rules, he's in love with her....
Lovely! And my goodness, all of those tiny leaves...I would have gotten sloppy less than half of the way through inking them, but each one here is as delicate as the next...Wonderful work!
ohh thanks! But you can bet that I was cursing those leaves while inking them all :defeated: but I did it

In partcular, I love the orb of light that picks out their figures. You should try painting with watercolours, I really think it'd compliment your style.

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
